Camel Treks in the Middle East

Camel treks in the Middle East offer a rare way to experience the desert slowly, travelling at the natural pace of the camel across remote landscapes shaped by tradition. ADCRC’s multi-day camel treks are designed for experienced riders seeking deeper cultural immersion, independence, and a genuine connection to desert life.

Each trek is carefully planned in collaboration with trusted local partners, ensuring camels are well cared for, suited to the terrain, and handled with respect at every stage. Welfare, safety, and responsibility remain central to how our camel trekking experiences are designed and delivered.

Trek difficulty varies depending on distance, duration, and landscape, offering a range of challenges for confident riders. Beyond the ride itself, these journeys provide rare cultural insight, with time spent alongside local communities, sharing daily life and gaining perspective on traditions shaped by the desert.

VIRTUAL CAMEL TREKS

Ride to the Capital

Join our first virtual camel trek. Set off from ADCRC and track your kilometres as you “ride” your way to the iconic Qasr Al Hosn, the oldest heritage site in Abu Dhabi.

Log every ride to get closer to completing the distance, desert or track, each camel step counts.

Come and ride at ADCRC with friends and log your camel kilometres on the app or website.

Day by day, you will get closer to the target.

On the leaderboard you'll be able to see how others are doing.

Coordinate longer rides with the community, and stay active throughout summer.

This is an excellent way to prepare for actual camel treks in winter.
