What Is Camel Livery?

Camel livery means your camel lives at ADCRC under the supervision of our experienced staff while you retain full ownership. We handle all routine care, management, and monitoring — giving you peace of mind that your camel is healthy, comfortable, and properly looked after.

Camel assisted wellness experience in Dubai

Why stabling your camel with us:

Our camel livery program is ideal for private owners, enthusiasts, and new buyers who wish to enjoy the benefits of camel ownership without the challenges of providing full-time care and facilities.

It is particularly suited to individuals who own a camel but do not have appropriate space or infrastructure, as well as new owners who would value professional guidance and ongoing support.

The program also appeals to residents seeking a meaningful connection to the UAE’s desert heritage, owners whose schedules do not allow for daily hands-on care, and families looking for a safe, structured introduction to camel ownership in a supervised environment.

Where to get a Camel from?

There are several ways to obtain a camel in Dubai or in the UAE.

First, one could simply go and visit one of the livestock markets, such as the Al Lisaili Camel Market , and select a camel from the many traders.

This might be a slightly overwhelming sight, plus, one must speak Arabic to be able to haggle with the mainly Sudani traders. The quality of the camels in the souq are not considered as high.

Secondly, through ADCRC we offer support in identifying a suitable camel based on your budget and requirements.

A riding camel that has a good level of training, should be at least 5 years old, and purchase prices start from minimum 8,000 AED.

“You don’t need prior experience in animal ownership to own a camel.

Sometimes, it’s about taking a calculated risk—a leap of faith, if you will. Things will never be perfect from the start, but they evolve over time, and you have the power to influence that evolution.”
