WEEKLY KIDS CAMEL RIDING CLUB

The Kids Camel Riding Club is designed to introduce young riders (10+) to camel riding in a structured, safe, and engaging environment. Meeting once per week, the program focuses on building confidence, responsibility, and connection with camels — while developing real riding skills over time. This is not a one-off activity, but a progressive learning journey, where participants grow week by week as riders and young caretakers.

Through structured weekly sessions, participants develop real riding skills while experiencing the heritage and spirit of the desert in a safe and supportive environment.

What They Learn

  • Empathy towards animals and soft skills in nonverbal communication
  • Basic riding position and control
  • Mounting and handling techniques
  • Balance and coordination on a moving camel
  • Understanding camel behavior and communication
  • Introduction to camel care and grooming
  • Group riding etiquette and safety

Over time, riders build toward:

  • Independent riding confidence
  • Light endurance riding

Lesson 1 – Introduction & Groundwork
Kids and Teens are introduced to camels in a calm and controlled setting.

They will learn:

  • Basic camel behavior and safety
  • How to approach and interact with the animal
  • Leading, stopping, and simple groundwork exercises

This session builds trust, awareness, and confidence on the ground.

Lesson 2 – First Ride & Fundamentals
Riders begin their first mounted experience.

Focus includes:

  • Mounting and dismounting safely
  • Basic riding position and balance
  • Introduction to movement and control

This is where the transition from groundwork to riding begins.

Lessons 3–5 – Building Control & Technique
Riders continue developing their skills through repetition and guided exercises:

  • Steering and direction control
  • Balance and rhythm with the camel’s movement
  • Improved coordination and confidence

Each session reinforces technique until basic control becomes natural.

After Lesson 5 – Desert Explore Ride
Once riders demonstrate sufficient confidence and control, they are introduced to adesert exploration ride.

This allows them to:

  • Apply their skills in a real environment
  • Experience riding beyond the arena
  • Build independence and awareness in open terrain

Ongoing Weekly Sessions – Development Phase
Following the initial learning phase, riders continue with weekly sessions to:

  • Refine technique and posture
  • Build endurance and riding time
  • Deepen their understanding of camels
  • Progress toward more advanced riding opportunities

Target Age Groups

Children can enroll in our camel riding programs from 10 years of age. Progression to independent riding is determined by each participant’s physical ability, confidence, maturity, and demonstrated competence in handling camels safely, rather than age alone.

In general, riders aged 12–13 years are often sufficiently physically and mentally mature to ride independently, provided they have successfully demonstrated the required skills and meet the instructor’s safety assessment. All participants progress at their own pace, with safety remaining the primary consideration throughout the program.

Pricing & Enrolment

The Kids Camel Riding Club is designed as a structured ten class program, allowing young riders to develop their skills consistently over time.

We encourage structured participation, as regular weekly sessions are key to building confidence, control, and a strong connection with the camels.

Term Package:

  • 10-Week Term 1,300 AED (130 AED per session)

Why Term-Based?

Our program follows a progressive learning structure, where each session builds on the previous one.
Term enrollment ensures:

  • Consistent skill development

  • Stronger rider confidence and safety

  • Better group dynamics and continuity

Alternative Option

  • Single Session (Drop-in): 155 AED

While drop-in sessions are available, we recommend term enrollment to achieve the best learning outcomes and overall experience.

Hear from other parents

Alex’s confidence, discipline, responsibility have grown enormous. He will always help the team at the center to put away the gear and clean up.

Our younger son was scared, but overcame it with the help of the patient team. He trusts his camel Yas while riding, he says he can meditate.

I would highly encourage other parents to have their kids involved at the riding center. Taking the kids to this natural environment, far from screens, helps them to be creative, responsible, and respectful. And they take great confidence from it, that improves other aspects of life.
